Smartphone-Absätze: Huawei rückt Apple auf die Pelle

Der chinesische Smartphone-Fertiger Huawei (ausgesprochen „wha-weeh“) könnte Apple langfristig den zweiten Platz in der Rangliste der Hersteller streitig machen, die weltweit am meisten Geräte absetzen.

Zu diesem Schluss kommen die Analysten des Marktforschungsinstitutes Canalys, die jetzt aktuelle Zahlen zum globalen Smartphone-Business vorgelegt haben. Demnach führt Samsung die Rangliste weiterhin an und konnte im zweiten Quartal 2017 über 79 Millionen Mobiltelefone umsetzen.

Apple landet mit 41 Millionen (2 Prozent mehr als im vergleichbaren Vorjahresquartal) zwar noch auf dem zweiten Platz muss sich jedoch vor Huawei „in Acht nehmen“. Der in Shenzhen ansässige Hersteller konnte 38 Millionen Geräte absetzen und verzeichnet ein damit ein Plus von 20% gegenüber dem Vorjahresquartal.

Apple held on to second place by shipping 41 million iPhones, increasing its annual shipments volume by 2%, despite anticipation building for a significant product refresh later in the year. Worldwide shipments of 38 million units, growth of 20% for Huawei, helped it close the gap with the leading pair and get within 3 million units of taking the second place from Apple. Oppo and Xiaomi were the top performers in fourth and fifth spot, growing shipments 44% and 52% respectively. Im 2. Quartal 2017 wurden insgesamt 340 Millionen Smartphones weltweit ausgeliefert – 4 Prozent mehr als im Vorjahresquartal.
