Radio-Applikationen: Last.fm, Pandora & AOL Radio

Kurzer Link-Tipp zu Cameron Hunt. In einer sehr lesenswerten Review setzt sich Cameron hier mit den drei populärsten, im AppStore verfügbaren Radio-Applikationen auseinander. Neben den personalisierten Sendern von Pandora (AppStore-Link) und Last.fm (AppStore-Link) findet auch der AOL-Client (AppStore-Link) einen Platz in der Übersicht und wird auf User-Interface, EDGE-Tauglichkeit und Musikauswahl hin geprüft. Ein Auszug:

Understandably, each “now playing” interface mimicked Apple’s iPod application.

• Pandora’s is closest to Apple’s, displaying a large album cover with player controls beneath.
• Last.fm screws the pooch with cluttered buttons and text in front of a grey-tinted album cover. It’s ugly.
• AOL Radio’s cover art is smaller and aligned on the left, and more tasteful than Last.fm. It’s a very sad sight when AOL out-does Last.fm. Although the logo under the player controls is annoying.
