Nokias Meinung zum iPhone 3GS

Mark Loughran, Managing Director bei Nokia UK, ist vom iPhone 3GS enttäuscht und sieht das hauseigene N97 auf der Überholspur. Die neue Kamera rechtfertige das Hardware-Update nicht, viele Käufer dürften unglaublich enttäuscht sein. Die Webseite Symbian-Freak zitiert Loughran wie folgt:

„The new iPhone seems to have the same design and colour, upgrading from a sub-standard two-megapixel camera to a still low 3.2-megapixel camera, and is probably a disappointment for many people given the high tariff and lifetime ownership costs.“

Eine Aussage, die die Informationweek auseinandergenommen hat. Letztlich ist Nokias N97 wohl teuerer, bietet eine ähnlich schlechte Kamera-Performance (im Dunkeln) und bricht in Sachen Usability alle Negativ-Rekorde.
