Neue Kabel und Full-HD in kommender iPhone-Generation

Glaubt man Christopher Price von Phonenews, soll Apple autorisierten Händlern den Abverkauf des „Apple Composite AV“-Kabels und des „Apple Component AV“-Kabels empfohlen und auf das anstehende Release eines neuen Adapters aufmerksam gemacht haben. Das kommende Anschluss-Kabel soll sowohl den Component- als auch den Composite-Output ermöglichen und iPhone-Nutzern so die Möglichkeit geben HDTV- SDTV-Displays an ihr Gerät anzuschließen. Laut Phonenews soll das kommende iPhone und auch der nächste iPod touch die volle Unterstützung für Full-HD liefern:

„However, Apple is also planning across-the-board output of HD video. Apple, realizing the lukewarm success of Apple TV, plans to focus both iPhone (and eventually, iPod) as the easiest way to watch HD videos from your PC. Currently the iPhone and iPod touch do not exceed 480i and 480p (respectively) in terms of video resolution. However, the next iPhone and iPod touch will enable full HD playback, with 720p and 1080i output modes.“
