Jolla Smartphone: In Finnland populärer als das iPhone

Glaubt man den Zahlen des finnischen Mobilfunkproviders DNA verkauft sich das kürzlich gestartete Jolla Smartphone bei unseren nordischen Nachbarn derzeit noch besser als das iPhone.

Ende November lanciert, beansprucht das kantige 400€-Gerät aktuell den 5. Platz unter den bestverkauften DNA-Geräte und reiht sich damit zwar hinter den drei Samsung Galaxy-Modellen Trend, Y und S III, so wie dem Nokia Lumia 520 ein – sticht jedoch das iPhone 5c und das iPhone 5s aus.

Many might say that Samsung is on top and Nokia outsold Jolla with their Lumia 520 […] but you see, Galaxy Trend is €99 , Galaxy Y is only €39 and as mentioned Lumia 520 is just €119 while we have Jolla for €399 available to the market and it came 5th in on the list. The only high-end phone among the first 4 is the Samsung Galaxy S III 4G which we can compare, price-wise to Jolla phone.

Gegen einen Aufpreis von 15€ kann das Jolla inzwischen auch direkt nach Deutschland geordert werden.

Spannender noch als das neue Gerät ist der Hintergrund der Jolla-Macher:
Jolla Mobile, ist eine unabhängige finnische Firma, die Smartphones auf Basis des Betriebssystems Sailfish-OS entwickelt und verkauft. Sie führt die Arbeit fort, die bei Nokia mit dem bisher einzigen MeeGo-Handy, dem Nokia N9 begonnen wurde.
