iTunes Store: Browser-basierter Zugriff

Gründe den iTunes Store auch ohne iTunes zu durchsurfen gibt es genug. Arbeitsplätze ohne iTunes-Installation, Linux als Betriebssystem oder den Bedarf mehrere Tabs gleichzeitig zu öffnen – um nur einige zu nennen.
Die Website app-store.appspot.com erlaubt nun genau diesen Zugriff. Labnol ertklärt den Zugriff auf Apples Inhalte wie folgt:

„Though Apple could have used HTML like format for writing the iTunes store, they have chosen some cryptic XML format for delivering iTunes pages and hence they can’t be read using standard browsers. Well not anymore. Nikhil has developed a Google App Engine powered tool where you can browse the iTunes store as a website without having to install iTunes.„
