Weitere Hinweise: Nach T-Mobile, nun Vodafone & AT&T

Nach dem kleinen Patzer der T-Mobile Österreich Online-Redaktion von gestern, folgen heute zwei weitere Info-Schnipsel aus Provider-Kreisen. Zum einen verkündet Vodafone Australia das offizielle EOL (Wiki: End-of-life) des 16GB starken iPhone 3G Modells:

[…] it just adds further fuel to the fire that there will be a new iPhone very, very soon. What mixes us up is the fact the 8GB isn’t EOL, but the 16GB is. Perhaps a 32GB and 8GB model will be around, the 8GB being the value option for the price conscious set.

Zum anderen taucht ein „iPhone 32GB 3G“ im Geräte-Auswahlmenu einer AT&T Webseite auf. Genauer gesagt: Im „BlackBerry Bold Trade Up Program“, ein Kundenservice der gebrauchte Geräte zurücknimmt, und so Neukauf-Rabatte auf das Blackberry Bold gewährt. Ausgerechnet. AppleInsider bemerkt:

„[…] the handset is listed as worth $335, though it’s unlikely this is connected to any final pricing. At this point, it’s uncertain whether this is a genuine addition or a speculative move on the part of the company running the service. None of the other iPhones in the list are unreleased models.“
