Zwei Monate nach dem Start der halböffentlichen Testphase hat Microsoft seinen Edge-Browser jetzt im App Store zum Download zur Verfügung gestellt, bietet den Safari-Konkurrenten vorerst jedoch nicht für deutsche Anwender an.

Die neue Mobilvariante (US App Store-Link), die Microsoft nicht nur für iOS sondern auch für Googles Android-System anbietet, zielt vor allem auf Windows-Nutzer ab, die Webseiten zwischen Rechner und Handy übergeben wollen und verspricht mit „Continue on PC“ eine Funktion anzubieten, die vergleichbar mit Apples Handoff-Dienst ist.

Microsoft Edge synchronisiert Favoriten und Passwörter und setzt zum unterbrechungsfreien PC-Zusammenspiel das Windows 10 Fall Creators Update voraus:
