ARider-Video: iPhone, Fahrradhelm und Head-mounted Display

Schönes Research-Projekt der AppStore-Entwickler von zeptotools. Unter dem Namen „ARider„, widmet sich das japanische Team der Fahrrad-Navigation mit dem iPhone und stellt in diesem Youtube-Video das erste erfolgreich umgesetzte Projekt vor. Um die Karten- und Kompass-Funktionalität des iPhone 3GS auch auf dem Rad nutzen zu können, haben die Entwickler einen Fahrradhelm mit einem HMD ausgestattet und das iPhone direkt auf diesem montiert. Noch handelt es sich bei der eingesetzten Applikation um einen Prototypen, die weiteren Entwicklungen des zeptotools-Teams beobachten wir jedoch mit aufmerksam. Mit Dank an alle Tippgeber.
